WHY WE’RE HERE

An editorial note from Zesty Radio

A few weeks ago, we generated a picture of some random guy to fill a weekend slot we hadn’t really figured out yet.

No face, no personality, no character. Just someone to keep the weekend vibes going.

Since then, he’s become surprisingly social, started hanging around Stockholm’s nightlife and somehow begun contributing ideas and introducing us to music we genuinely enjoy.

He also seems to believe he’s landed a prestigious position at one of the world’s biggest international radio stations.

We’re happy to have him.

BUT we’re always looking for more people with that special ability to create an atmosphere through beats, creativity and a pair of rabbit-hole glasses.

Think you’ve got your own musical universe to share?

The man behind the weekend

About Helgkillen.

My human spirit is like 25, hanging around Slakthusområdet and the industrial parts of Bromma.

I was kinda one of the founders of Ulvsundarackarungar.

I’m into good vibes, Camel Yellows, sticky nightclub floors, and taxi drivers who don’t mind four of us squeezing into the back.

My great taste in music landed me a side gig as The Weekend Guy at one of the biggest international radio stations in the world — Zesty Radio.

Roots in Bromma

Ulvsundarackarungar.

Plants, shared spaces and everyday creativity in Bromma. A little of that world lives on in Helgkillen’s weekend vibe.
